Brian Blankenship is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University, majoring in International Relations. He received his MPhil. and M.A. in Political Science from Columbia, as well as a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University. His research lies primarily in the areas of alliance politics and intra-alliance bargaining, particularly in asymmetric alliances. His other research interests include power projection and U.S. foreign basing, nuclear proliferation, and grand strategy.
