Fabiana Sofia Perera is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at The George Washington University. Her research investigates social spending under conditions of resource dependence. Her dissertation examines education spending in resource dependent developing countries. Fabiana holds an MA in Latin American Political Economy from Georgetown University. Before pursuing graduate school Fabiana worked at Mitsubishi International Corporation where she supported analyses of the oil, mining and infrastructure sectors and at the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, where she worked to address underrepresentation of Hispanics in the federal government.
