Mary Barton is a U.S. Foreign Policy and International Security Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth College’s Dickey Center. Her research examines the development of modern counter-terrorism strategies and practices in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In December 2016, she was awarded her Ph.D. in international history from the University of Virginia. Mary received her B.A. in history from Bryn Mawr College. Prior to graduate school, she worked for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and Hanover Research.
