Bio

Rupal N. Mehta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  From 2014-2015, she was a Stanton Nuclear Security Postdoctoral Fellow in the Belfer Center’s International Security Program and Project on Managing the Atom at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.  She is currently a researcher of the University of Nebraska’s National Strategic Research Institute, where she consults for USSTRATCOM, and an affiliated researcher and contributor with Cross-Domain Deterrence Project (Minerva Initiative) at the University of California, San Diego.  Prior to beginning graduate school, she was a researcher at the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) at Stanford University and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington D.C.  She received a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of California San Diego and B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
