Bridging the Gap encourages the leadership of both foundations and universities to take concrete steps towards increased engagement with one another, including partnering in the development of research agendas and guidelines for assessing the impact of scholars’ policy contributions. We achieve this through workshops and ongoing research and commentary.
Our biennial New Era International Conference assesses how scholars and policymakers in key strategic regions of the world view the political and economic choices that will drive global foreign policy over the next 5-10 years. Bridging the Gap partners with a host institution and invites leading thinkers from academia, business, and government for three days of structured discussion on an area of uncertainty in the evolving international environment. Our 2018 conference will focus on the provision of global public goods.
We are thrilled to have joined the Duck of Minerva in Fall 2017 as editors of a new “Bridging the Gap” channel. Our major goal with this channel is to share as broadly as we can the ground-breaking policy-relevant research being created by our network of scholars in almost every area of international, comparative, and foreign policy scholarship.
